The very name of the message that we, people, usually assign to a specific formula which we tend to call a prayer has much to reflect on.
In English, the word has the meaning of
1/a request;
2/ a praise;
3/ a formula used in praying;
4/ the act of praying;
5/ an entreaty to a person.
Strange, but it has no sense of thanksgiving to God (it has a more general meaning), though the word itself has the meaning of asking, pleasing, kindly requesting. And let us not forget: we use the preposition TO in the expression "to pray to".
French with its word "prier" means to request.
The Latin Language has some very specific correspondences which precise the very act of praying:
1. preces, f, pl}
precatio } both meaning "to ask for" = Ukr. "prosyty"
precarius (obtained by prayer) = Ukr. "vymolenyy"/"vyproshenyy"
precor which correlates with the Ukrainian word "prohkaty";
2. exoro= Slavic "movyty", "mloviti", Polish "modlic' "
3. supplico= Ukrainian: "laskavo/pokirno prosyty"
4. flagito= to ask repeatedly (in humility), Ukr. "prosyty u pokori"
5. oro= Ukrainian "pokirno prosyty"
6. intercedo= Ukr. "prosyty zastupnytstva/dopomohy"
7. peto, posco (for a thing) = Ukr.: "shukaty zahystu"
8. adoro= Ukr.: "obozhnyuvaty".
The Italian Language has preserved the main Latin lexemes for "to pray", with the most general "pregare" (precor) = pre+agere (pre-act).
The German word "beten" correlates with the English word "to beg". The preposition used after the verb is "um": "um etwas beten".
The Greek Language has the word "proseuxome' (close enough to the Ukrainian "prosyty"), and the noun "proseuxi' " (prayer, n). The origin of the word is well explained by the word "prosexi's" - forth coming.
The Slavic Languages, as well as the Ukrainian, Polish and Russian, have very many correspondences for the words "to pray" and "prayer" which denote the prayer's mode and the state of the spirit:
1. humility and obedience= (umilta')= pokora, upokorzenie=poslukh/poslushaniye, Polish "skupienie sie, "
2. begging for to be spared/saved= Russian "umolyat' ", Ukrainian "molyty", (*wmahliti" = to belittle/to humiliate), Slavic "modliti/moliti";
~ "prositi", "prosyty", "prosic' "; Russian "prosit' zashchity";
~Polish "przybiegac' "= Ukrainian "prybihaty (pid zahyst {for the defense}).
The verb "pray" requires the preposition TO + an object. Thus, it is evident that a prayer means "thankgiving to God", ' a kind request", "an entreaty";
~ in German, also - UM: asking for something, where the Name of God is implicit, as much as in Ukrainian "molytysya (Bohovi/Bohu)"/"molytysya do Boha"

GOD'S RECOGNITION = THE MAN'S RECOGNITION = THE RECOGNITION OF GOD'S AUTHORITY= THE RECOGNITION OF THE MAN'S STATE
GOD'S POWER WORKS THROUGHOUT THE UNIVERSE AND IS GRANTED AS THE PART OF THE GRACE AND THE GIFT OF LIFE
THE OVERALL POSITIVE, FULL OF HOPE BELIEF CONFIRMS that
1. the evil will be stopped;
2. the good will be reconstructed and reconfirmed by the power of the righteous Man through the Power of the All-Powerfull God;
3. if a Religion proclaims the Good, the Right, the Moral and the Human, that Religion cannot be criticized by a representative of another Religion as he/she does not profess it;
4. one could be happier in the balance given by his/her parents' Religion and/or Rite;
5. no one can make another person profess any Religion or follow another Rite, or any religious Practice, if the person does not feel like doing it (the Rule of the Freedom of Choice).
GOD KNOWS BETTER OUR NEEDS AND WILL PROMPT THE RIGHT WAY AT THE RIGHT TIME AND AT THE RIGHT PLACE
THE WORD GIVEN IS THANKED BY THE WORD EXPRESSED
THE MOST IMPORTANT RULE IN PRAYING IS "GOD -FIRST".
